Jamie + Ryan

Forecasts called for thunderstorms all day, and it was pouring all morning while Jamie + Ryan were getting ready. The skies cleared just in time for the ceremony and held up until sunset. The stormy weather out in the ocean created pink skies and double rainbows at sunset. I wish all our sunset skies were like this! Jamie is the sweetest bride ever and she handmade the amazing macrame ceremony backdrop and Ryan created the doors for the end of the aisle. My favorite part of the night was when the bridal party surrounded Jamie + Ryan with sparklers as they did their first dance!

Be sure to check out the cinema team's SDE at the end of the gallery!

Tara + Kevin Engagement Session

Tara and I are second cousins.. or first cousins once removed... or something like that. Anyways, we're related! Growing up she lived in California and I lived in Washington and we were pen pals!! We used to send each other fun gifts (like POGS) and talk about our lives as 9 year olds. And now, she's engaged!

Tara and Kevin flew to Oahu to take engagement photos and we went all over the island to take pictures- including a shave ice stop which might be my favorite of the photo sets. Congratulations Tara + Kevin!! Come back soon!

Valerie + Richard

Happy Valentines Day! Today I'm sharing a 2017 wedding where the bride and groom found each other later in life, and celebrated it big!

Valerie + Richard had the ultimate backyard wedding. They have a beautiful new home in Kona and chose to use it as the setting for their big day. The majority of the evening was spent dancing (like- started at cocktail hour and was still going strong when we left late at night)!  The decor was ocean inspired and filled with sea shells and tropical details. Can you spot the pineapple palm trees? I need them in my life!!

Valerie is one of my favorite brides, not only is she a beautiful person inside and out, but she rocked an incredible sea shell crown on her wedding day (see photos for awesomeness)!

So much love, so much celebration. Congratulations Valerie + Richard!
