storytelling through cinema and fine art film photography
Two amazing things happened at this wedding. One - during cocktail hour there was a petting zoo! Sunset Ranch has the option to include this service by bringing mini ponies, ducks, goats, and whatever other baby animals they have around for your guests to enjoy. The very best cocktail hour activity in my opinion.
New babies mean updated family photo shoots! I've had so much fun getting to watch this family grow over the years, and I finally got to meet their newest addition! Older sister was NOT to be outshined and filled the shoot with hide and seek games and the best twirls and dance moves to keep us entertained.
We loveee the Big Island! Especially Waimea with all the rolling hills and forest groves! On my last visit I had so much fun photographing a mommy/daughter mini session in Waimea for Riley and her babe! Check out this angel, so cute!
Raelee and Ryan got married at one of our favorite wedding venues, Loulu Palm Estate. We love the killer sunsets, private beach, and huge backyard for stunning ceremonies and receptions here.
Happiness is pink sunsets and being on your honeymoon! Here's a few frames from this sweet Honolulu session. Shout out to the Big Island vog for giving us some extra pretty tones!
It's not often that we get brides that love color, so shooting Jaymie's wedding was a dream! Her bright tropical style showed in every little detail. The Royal Hawaiian was the perfect classic Hawaii backdrop for their big day, and the pink exterior was a major plus! Brent had the best reactions to their first look and Jaymie's walk down the aisle. So many happy tears!
Our amazing Studio Manager/Photographer Jess is getting married TOMORROW! Eeeek! We are all so excited for this beautiful soul to finally tie the knot! We have been dreaming about her day at every wedding we've shot since her engagement, and can't believe the day is here!
Had another sweet sunset family session with baby Olivia while they were vacationing at Aulani! Love seeing her grow! :)
Emily + Ryan's downtown Honolulu wedding started at Foster Botanical Garden for the sweetest back to back first look! The party continued to one of our favorite downtown venues, Cafe Julia. We love the architecture there (can you believe it's a YWCA?) and the breezy outdoor dining/ceremony area.
How cute is the Akiyoshi family?? I had so much fun shooting our instagram mini session winners a few weeks ago in Kailua! I think that all sessions should include dance parties!
