Espwa pou Ayiti (Hope for Haiti)

"Visiting a Third World Country can really mess with your head. When I landed in Port Au Prince a little over a week ago, I don't think I was really prepared for what I was about to see. Immediately after leaving the airport you are bombarded with so many images of poverty and hopelessness. As a photographer I always try to find the beauty in any situation and capture that beauty so it can be shared with others -- but where was the beauty in all of this.

That is where FGIM comes in. FGIM stands for Future Generation International Missions. FGIM is located in Jacmel, Haiti and is a beacon of light for so many in Haiti. It was that beautiful image of love and hope that I had struggled to see at first. FGIM started an orphanage, school, English classes for adults, and a church for their community. Pierre and Lorphine StLouis are the founders of FGIM and the love they have for the people in Haiti is beyond inspiring.

I spent the week creating two promotional videos for Pierre and Lorphine that they will be able to share with churches to help raise support for their ministries. Below are also some images from my trip. If you would like to know more or find out how you can help their organization, please visit

So many of the girls in their orphanage are still in need of support. Providing support for these girls opens the door for them to be able to help more girls and work towards starting their all boys orphanage as well.

Here is a link to the girl's sponsor page. "
