MEET: KOLBY, owner // cinematographer // dreamer

I thought I found my passion when I walked into a newsroom.

As a Television Producer, I loved the energy, the deadlines… uncovering stories, and getting different perspectives… I loved building a show that made people say ‘WOW!’ At 23, I was EXCITED… and producing the #1 newscast in Hawaii. But then, I discovered the thrill of telling LOVE stories. I never looked back. *This* is my dream job, and I’m lovin’ every moment!

Style: unconventional + sassy =)

My perfect meal: poke + poi // anything with ketchup and hot sauce

You might be surprised to know: I’ve never had mac & cheese // I cry at EVERY wedding I shoot.

In my spare time, I love: surfing, snowboarding, spa-ing, and jet-setting with the besties.

My pet peeves: Shaky footage, tight parking, typos, sausage.

MEET: JAY, owner // strategist // janitor =)

Fortune favors the foolish.  God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.  Both apply here.  In this present snapshot of my life, I have realized a convergence of life experience, passions and plans in ARIA Studios.  Being able to participate in a field that combines artistry, experimentation, innovation and geek hardware seems a dream. And it is.  But to be able to figure out how to best help those without a voice in the world utilizing all of the above? Amazing.

I’ve been blessed with my wonderful wife, Karin, and three fantabulous kids : Alec, Austin and Aria (and my partner is pretty cool, too).  The future?  Well, my seatbelt is fastened.

My Perfect Meal: sushi made by a master in a small little restaurant off a beaten path in the outskirts of Fukuoka, Japan

You might be surprised to know : I cook because I eat. Lots.

In my spare time I love : spending time with my family

My pet peeves : overcooked food in overpriced restaurants

MEET: CHRISTINE, lead photographer

Style: I have an undying penchant for peasant blouses.

My perfect meal: Something involving a pantheon of lavish desserts at the end (or the beginning, middle, etc.)

You might be surprised to know: In school I studied philosophy, not photography.

In my spare time, I love: Playing piano, baking, wandering the world, reading, learning.

My pet peeves: Junk mail.

My treasures: My people!  Shout out to y’all!

My perfect meal: Guacamole by mom, baby back ribs, vanilla coke

You might be surprised to know: I’m nothing short of a prodigy when it comes to video games =)

In my spare time, I love: Volleyball, videogames, finding fresh new music, buying shoes, daydreaming

My pet peeves: When my black clothes start to turn not-so-black, fuzzy hair days, struggling to fill out a questionnaire! (JUST discovered this)

My treasures: My family, the Core-4, the internet. haha!

My perfect meal: anything as long as it’s followed by mint chocolate chip ice cream =)

You might be surprised to know: I do not drink soda, I get really random *hiccups* every day

In my spare time, I love: volleyball, going to the beach, hanging out with friends, watching movies, listening to music

My pet peeves: when cereal bags don’t get rolled up after being opened, when I’m driving behind a car that has one brake light that isn’t working

My treasures: my relationship with Jesus Christ, acting silly with my brother, laughing and spending quality time with family and friends

You might be surprised to know: I used to run a print shop out of my dad’s garage.

In my spare time, I love: My wife and I have a 4 month old……what spare time? : )

My pet peeves: Public restrooms with no paper towels, just air dryers, and a door you can’t kick open.
