Project: ARIA is our annual photo + cinema workshop — when we take a break from all the studio craziness to TEACH, INSPIRE, EXPERIMENT, AND CREATE. it’s designed to help attendees get comfortable and confident behind the lens, become better storytellers, and help them reflect on the kind of artist they are/want to be.
This year, the theme was LOVE, LIGHT, LAUGHTER. The first thing we share with visitors on our website is that “We are inspired by love, light, laughter, and all the little things that make our couples unique.” Their first assignment was to bring in a photo or series of photos that illustrated what “Love, Light, Laughter” meant to them. Their final video project was to storyboard, film, and put together a piece using this same theme. Here is the winning piece:

On the final “work” day — we surprised the group with a super fun FINAL GROUP PROJECT. The challenge: to get to know, storyboard and film a music video/promo featuring one of three very talented artist. They had only 2.5 hours. Thank you to our dear friends Tiffa Garza, Jason Nomura and Joan Caro for helping us out with this. Here is the winning video:
